Te Fare Upa Here (USA)

Farereiraa 2015 Te Fare Upa Here

San Francisco, CALIFORNIA
Chief leader : Elizabeth Bertumen / Nene Nemenzo

Our prior name was Nemenzo Polynesian Dance Company opened in 1996. After years in the field of Tahitian Dance and Music we decided to change to a new Tahitian name as we expand our services and redirecting our goals. We are now Te Fare Upa Here (House of Passion for Tahitian Dance and Music). After winning competitions since 1998, years of traveling to Tahiti since 2004, performing exhibitions in Hawaii, Mexico, Japan, and other U.S. states, conducting workshops, seminars, teaching locally and in other countries we embarked upon a new direction for our organization. With two of our instructors Magdalena Nemenzo and Desiree Woodward Lee as the first graduates in the United States to complete their studies in the field of Dance and Music in Tahiti, we continue our current activities and classes along with an expansive/ intense study in the history and art of Tahitian Dance and Music as endorsed by the Conservatoire Artistique de la Artistique Polynesie Francais in Papeete, Tahiti. www.facebook.com/tefare.upahere
